Job description

POSITION: Special Education Teacher, Resource, 1.0 FTE

LOCATION: Lonsdale Elementary, Lonsdale, MN

Tri-City United Schools serves the communities of Le Center, Lonsdale, & Montgomery

STARTING DATE: 2026-2027 school year, first day of new teacher workshop is August 25, 2026

SALARY: $45,500-$75,125 based on qualifications and years of experience

BENEFITS: Insurance, retirement, and paid time off

REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Director of Special Services

DATE OF POSTING: 02/24/2026

LICENSURE: Appropriate PELSB Teacher License in Special Education (ABS, EBD, LD, ASD, DCD).  

All special education licensure areas will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS:

- Delivery and Instruction of Special Education services to elementary students 

- Understanding of Special Education due process and paperwork, maintaining accurate student records 

- Assessing student learning, analyzing student data and planning accordingly for student success 

- Creating an engaging and respectful classroom for all 

- Effective communication with key stakeholders, including families and guardians 

- Work collaboratively with multiple instructional teams
