Description

The Member Experience Representative will assist members and non-members of the credit union with various administrative and financial transactions, and will be responsible for processing routine banking transactions and recommending products and services based on the member's financial goals. 


Role and Responsibilities

  • Greet members in a professional and courteous manner and assist them with all issues, questions and requests.
  • Process member transactions, including; deposits, withdrawals, cashiers' checks, money orders, and loan payments in person, by telephone or mail.
  • Balance and verifies transactions and cash totals on a daily basis
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the complete line of products and services and offers appropriate products and services to members and potential members.
  • Opens and closes computer terminal accounts daily
  • Examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. 
  • Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Performs drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years' cash handling experience. 
  • Prior banking/credit union experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent mathematical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate 10-key series.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a consistently changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Operate standard office equipment and keyboards
  • Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations
  • Lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items
