Your Role at KIK

We are looking for a strategic hands-on HR Manager to lead HR objectives for our KIK - Ontario and Santa Fe Springs plants. In this role, you will report functionally to the HR Director and partner closely with local Plant Managers to align HR initiatives with operations goals. This position is based out of Ontario, California with periodic travel to Sante Fe Springs. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic HR leader with a strong sense of urgency, and talent in guiding supervisors and employees through change and ongoing improvements. Ideally, your skill set will include a well-rounded HR Business Partner background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting Plant Management with performance management, training, discipline, statutory compliance and maintaining positive working relationships. A strong understanding of HR is required to ensure competitive practices and counsel is provided within an appropriate cultural framework that enables an environment of trust and high-quality employee relations of 100+ associates.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the HR function for Ontario, and Santa Fe Springs, Californiaย , manufacturing plant locations
  • Provides guidance, best practices,ย and drives efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of human resources, including recruiting, compensation, talent management (e.g., training, succession planning),ย analytics, and administrative (e.g., payroll/benefits) programs
  • Carry out multi-plant employee relations and other employee programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with California, federal, and local regulations
  • Provide strategic coaching and HR guidance to plant leadership and supervisors on policy interpretation, employee engagement, performance management and leadership effectivenessย 
  • Partners with plant management to drive continual improvement of site people capabilities, including labor planning,ย performance management processes, competitive salary processes, analysis, recognition, and rewards programs
  • Develop training programs directly with the manufacturing plants to ensure sustained and effective programs exist
  • Is responsible for the salaryย administration, disciplinary processes, and investigations
  • Consult on issues related to legal and procedural compliance,ย employee relations, strategies, and performance management
  • Thorough knowledge transfer and coaching, assist client group toย acquire skills and knowledge for effectively handling and resolvingย employees' issues and change management
  • Utilize HR analytics to identify trends and develop action plans to improve retention, engagement, and performance across sitesย 
  • Assist in the rollout of various HR based programsย and initiatives
  • Manages plant communications to promote employee understanding of business objectives, programs and policies
  • Act as the conscience of the organization and keeps a solid pulse on the organizational issues

  • Minimum 5 years as a Human Resources Manager or Senior Generalist background experience in a manufacturing environment

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.ย This position has a base salary range of $140,000 - 150,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including your relevant skills and experience.
