Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Psychiatry Wellness Center, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and joint therapy sessions with couples and families, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Developing personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client or family unit.
• Addressing a range of familial and relationship issues, including but not limited to:
  • Alcohol and substance abuse
  • Physical and psychological abuse
  • Grief and loss
  • Family conflicts and communication breakdowns
  • Challenges related to blended families and divorce
• Actively engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skill sets and clinical approaches.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress in accordance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient focus will range widely, including adults as well as child and adolescent populations. In this role, you will engage clients dealing with complex issues such as adjustment difficulties during family transitions, communication barriers, and mental health challenges associated with life events. Your therapeutic skills will play a crucial part in fostering resilience and facilitating healing within families.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

• Active and valid License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the relevant state.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Proficiency in implementing therapeutic techniques and methodologies to foster holistic patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage client relationships.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from newly licensed therapists as well as seasoned professionals, the following experience will be considered a plus:

• Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly with families and couples.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and methodologies for remote therapy.
• Proven track record in managing diverse caseloads with a focus on exceptional patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
