Position Overview

Accessible Care Wellness is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote role requires a passionate professional with a Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a valid LMFT license, who is eager to empower clients on their path to recovery from mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and intake evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health issues and create effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities to provide individualized therapy sessions that foster personal growth, emotional healing, and resilience.
  • Set collaborative therapeutic goals with clients, regularly reviewing and adapting these goals based on progress and client feedback.
  • Engage in biweekly supervision and team meetings, enabling you to discuss complex cases and share insights with colleagues to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive and ethical documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring adherence to state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate actively in ongoing professional development opportunities, staying informed about new techniques and trends in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including couples, families, children, and adolescents. You will be called upon to apply culturally sensitive practices while supporting clients from varied backgrounds, including individuals of color and the LGBTQIA community. Your expertise will be critical in addressing unique challenges presented by these different groups, fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid state-issued license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of two years of full-time experience in counseling, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic methods and patient interaction.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with couples, families, and children in a clinical setting, providing a broad range of therapeutic interventions.
  • Specialized training or experience with LGBTQIA clients or racially diverse families, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of care delivered.
