Remote University Development Counselor Jobs (NOW HIRING)

In this remote work setting, counselors will predominantly engage with clients via telehealth, allowing for flexible scheduling that can accommodate both client and counselor needs. You will be provided with advanced electronic medical records (EMR) software and other related technology tools to facilitate seamless communication and documentation. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Premire Counseling & Wellness Services, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their biopsychosocial needs and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Delivering individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy sessions tailored to the clinical presentation of each client.
• Collaborating with the psychiatric team and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, including participation in program planning and crisis interventions.
• Documenting client progress and obtaining pertinent information in alignment with regulatory standards and best practice guidelines.
• Maintaining ethical standards and agency policies while fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for all clients.
• Engaging actively in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and treatment methodologies.

Our client population includes individuals facing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance misuse, and trauma. The LPC will be expected to engage with a diverse demographic, including children, adults, and families, employing culturally sensitive approaches that respect each client's unique background and experiences.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in primary care or medical settings.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from varying backgrounds.
• A comprehensive understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling practices.
• Proficiency in using EMR software and technology relevant to clinical documentation and communication.

While not mandatory, candidates with specialized training or experience in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care will be highly regarded. An ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team is also advantageous.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus along with opportunities for performance-based incentives.
