ABOUT TALENT MANAGEMENT AT NINTENDO OF AMERICA
The Talent Management team identifies, builds, and provides strategic opportunities for our employees and business to "level up." We do this through thoughtfully designed and expertly implemented programs as well as methodically tailored client partnerships. It's an exciting time to join the team - we are growing as NOA further enhances its commitment to employee, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.
THE PRINCIPAL - TALENT DEVELOPMENT ROLE
Are you passionate about helping employees, leaders, and teams harness their potential and maximize their effectiveness in support of organizational success? Our Principal - Talent Development, will first focus on building a deep and complex understanding of the organization, our culture, and our employee and leadership needs. Grounded in this understanding, they will build and lead a comprehensive, multimodal ecosystem of bespoke development programs and tools, from concept to implementation. These may include the creation of workshops, academies, eLearnings, onboarding programs, learning events, team effectiveness programs, facilitated meetings and offsite experiences, and other solutions that are integrated into a thoughtful employee and leader development journey. The Principal will also serve as a trusted partner for leaders across the organization.
You're an ideal candidate for this role if you are an engaged and pioneering talent development expert who has a strong drive for taking initiative and a passion for creating and delivering employee, leadership, and team development solutions that are masterfully tailored to the needs of the business. A thoughtful, client-centered approach is crucial to how we work at Nintendo - so, proven experience anticipating, understanding, and responding to diverse employee and leadership needs and successfully translating this awareness into high-impact programs and interventions that resonate with target audiences will be key to your success.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
In partnership with Management, develop the comprehensive strategy and resource allocation for a core Talent Management program based on strong understanding of the business, employee needs, and industry bestpractices.
- Lead the design, build, and delivery of high-quality, high-impact, scalable solutions across the full program lifecycle - from concept through implementation - through independent work and team support, ensuring that solutions align with and drive relevant business, HR, and Talentpriorities.
- Serve as a dedicated consultant to business and HR leaders, translating complex Talent Management concepts into actionable guidance and partnering on the successful, client-focused adoption.
- May lead a small program team - delegating tasks, providing clear expectations, and providing coaching and development - to ensure high-quality execution and successful outcomes across all program components
- Partners closely with HR colleagues and business leaders to assess needs, define program requirements, and deliver scalable talent solutions.
- Manages program timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful outcomes.
- Analyzes internal data (e.g., employee feedback, HR metrics) and external trends to inform recommendations and enhance program effectiveness.
- Leads the creation and delivery of high-impact resources and experiences including presentations, workshops, frameworks, and toolkits that support development, leadership, performance, and engagementgoals.
- Ensures strong change management and communication practices to support adoption and impact across client groups.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and contributes ideas to evolve Talent Management practices and processes.
- Continuously expands breadth and depth of Talent Management expertise; shares knowledge to elevate the capabilities of the team and educates HR and business leaders on best practices and evolving trends
- Serve as a visible and trusted Talent Management expert across the organization, representing the function in cross-divisional work and special projects.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- At least eight (8) years of progressive experience driving business outcomes through the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of talent or HR programs.
- Strong understanding of core HR functions and talent management practices, including leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and workforce capability.
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a trusted consultative partner to senior leaders, with the ability to influence outcomes through data, insights, and well structured recommendations.
- Experience leading or owning integrated employee, team, and leadership development programs of moderate to high complexity, including planning, building, execution, stakeholder management, and delivery of client centered solutions on time and within scope that drive high-impact, high-quality solutions that are tailored to the needs of diverse client groups.
- Proven ability to independently solve ambiguous and complex problems, and to guide others through structured problem-solving when appropriate.
- Strong consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills, with experience translating Talent Management concepts into practical, actionable solutions for leaders and HR partners.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to use data and visuals to support decision-making.
- Excellent organizational and program management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands across multiple stakeholders and initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly confidential environment, manage work at a steady and appropriate pace, and consistently deliver high-quality work products with minimal guidance (guidance provided primarily for the most complex situations).
- Experience leading and managing a team is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent experience.
