THE OPPORTUNITY

We're seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead daily field operations on hotel renovation projects across the United States. This is an opportunity to work with leading national brands, join a team focused on occupied-building expertise, and grow alongside a fast-moving, entrepreneurial construction company. You'll oversee construction activities on high-profile hospitality projects, manage subcontractors and vendors, and take ownership of quality, safety, and schedule—while building direct relationships with hotel ownership and brand representatives.

POSITION SUMMARY

Crystal Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee hotel renovation projects throughout the United States. The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for managing daily on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards while minimizing disruption to hotel operations.

This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently while coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, hotel ownership, and brand representatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all daily field operations for assigned hotel renovation projects

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel

• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved

• Conduct daily site meetings and communicate project progress

• Enforce OSHA safety standards and Crystal Hospitality safety policies

• Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and brand standards

• Coordinate inspections with local authorities having jurisdiction

• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals

• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project schedule

• Work closely with Project Managers to monitor budgets and control costs

• Prepare daily reports including manpower, progress photos, weather conditions, delays, and safety observations

• Coordinate deliveries and verify materials are available before installation

• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites

• Ensure punch list completion and coordinate project closeout activities

• Build positive working relationships with hotel management to minimize guest disruption during construction

• Assist with project turnover including owner training, warranty documentation, and final inspections

• Experience with Procore project management software

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This is a full-time position that requires travel. Projects take place across the country. The company covers travel, lodging, and approved business expenses as per company policy. Headquartered in Tampa, FL, this role involves full-time travel, with deployment to active hotel renovation sites nationwide, wherever the project may be located (no need to be based in Tampa).

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of superintendent experience in commercial construction

• Hospitality renovation experience strongly preferred

• Experience managing occupied hotel renovations is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States (up to 100%)

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and automobile (required)

• Clean background check (required)
