About the Job:
Position: Commercial Construction Superintendent
Location: Austin, TX and willing to travel to surrounding areas (i.e. Kyle, Manor, Round Rock, etc)
Project Types: Commercial | Restaurant & Multifamily Construction
We posses the skills and expertise to tackle a wide range of commercial projects, paired with a deep appreciation for culture and values. We believe that maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude is crucial for success. Whether managing a major commercial project or engaging with our team, we consistently bring high energy and commitment. As a superintendent, you will be expected to facilitate the communication, coordination and cooperation of all concerned (Project Partners) towards the common objective COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT: On Time; Under Budget; Exceeding Quality Expectations.
Responsibilities:
Phase I
- PRECONSTRUCTION
  • Ensure Job-site signage is on site day 1.
  • Pre-construction & Utilities
    • Attend Municipal and Internal Meetings
    • Stay up to date on long lead item dates
  • Review Project Schedule
    • Always have the updated schedules
    • Communicate schedules with the subcontractors
    • Consistent Follow Up
Phase II - CONSTRUCTION
  • Schedules/three week lookahead are updated on a weekly basis.
  • Job-site Safety - Maintain a clean and safe job-site. Ensure that all required safety requirements are followed 100%
  • Daily Logs - Update daily logs every day with all required information.
  • Risk Management - Identify potential risk and develop strategies to mitigate those risk.
  • Communication - Daily communication with PMs. Must keep general/regional superintendents/PMs in the loop and document communication via ProCore. Daily/weekly communication, check in's and/or follow up with subcontractors.
  • Change Order/Delay Notices - Report any and all change orders and delay notices must be documented immediately and approved by the PM or Management Team.
  • Utilities - Stay up to date with utilities and any developments.
Phase III - PROJECT CLOSEOUT
  • Ensure a timely and smooth hand-off to the client.
  • Any other duties assigned by the PM or Management Team.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
  • Good planning skills, including design execution, resources allocation, and contingencies.
  • Understanding of construction equipment and materials, including safe operating practices and signs of hazard or maintenance issues.
  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective leadership abilities, such as goal-setting, motivating, and conflict management.
  • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization , and multitasking.
  • ACUTE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. You will be expected to ensure that we deliver and turn over a quality finished product, with all the small details being handled with the necessary care taken.
  • Experience in Commercial Restaurant and/or Multifamily construction.
