West Behavioral Stress Management, Inc. is a leading outpatient mental health facility located in Glendale, Arizona, known for its innovative approaches to patient care. This position allows for remote work, which offers flexibility and convenience without compromising the collaborative culture that West Behavioral fosters among its professionals. As a licensed therapist, you will be engaged in a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where you can focus on providing high-quality mental health services while leveraging digital tools and platforms for seamless communication.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate the mental health status and needs of clients.
• Developing individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based methods, ensuring that therapy is tailored to each client's specific challenges.
• Implementing a range of therapeutic strategies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster positive change and recovery in clients.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation and adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of all client information.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals to provide holistic care, contributing to case discussions and sharing insights to enhance treatment strategies.
• Educating clients and their families on mental health conditions, therapy options, and community resources available to support their journey.
• Keeping abreast of the latest developments in mental health practices to continually refine your therapeutic skills.

In this role, you will provide crucial support to a diverse client population, specifically focusing on individuals coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health issues. Your empathetic guidance will play a significant role in helping clients explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve their mental health goals.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in Arizona as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Demonstrated proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy interventions.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to foster trust-based therapeutic relationships, providing compassionate and supportive counseling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for the effective identification of client needs and tailored interventions.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Prior clinical experience in outpatient settings focusing on individual and group therapy.
• Experience working with diverse populations and varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with digital health platforms for remote therapy sessions and electronic record keeping.
