Job description

Scheduling Specialist

The IMA Group is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Specialist to support the daily operations of our Scheduling Department. This role is ideal for someone with healthcare scheduling or call center experience who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor scheduler productivity and prepare daily/weekly performance reports.
  • Support, coach, and train Scheduling team members to ensure quality and productivity goals are met.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Scheduling and Call Center employees.
  • Handle escalated scheduling and customer service issues.
  • Identify workflow challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Assign and monitor daily work to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with employee timekeeping, PTO requests, and departmental projects.
  • Support coordination of hospital agreements for ancillary testing.

Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare scheduling, medical office, or call center experience required.
  • Leadership, training, or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
