Position Specific Summary
PSJD.org is an online public interest job database for law students and lawyers seeking internships, fellowships, or permanent positions. PSJD is an initiative of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). Many of the job announcements that find their way onto PSJD are placed there by PSJD's Project Assistant (PA) team. This is an opportunity for undergraduate students with an interest in law, public interest, government, or non-profit work to become familiar with the opportunities these sectors provide for legal employment and the qualities these sectors look for in employees. Working under the guidance of the Public Service Coordinator, PAs play an integral role in the support and maintenance of PSJD.
RESPONSIBIILITIES
Post, edit, and delete job postings on our database; Verify and update information currently in the PSJD database; Use PSJD's content management system and Google Drive to track progress and record updates; Join bi-weekly video calls with the Coordinator to discuss performance and identify areas of improvement for the PA and the database; and Perform other tasks as assigned.
HOURS

REMOTE WORK

Communication with the Public Service Coordinator, Director, and PA team members will happen largely in Zoom through chat and videoconferencing.
The Coordinator and Director will make reasonable efforts to troubleshoot equipment and connectivity issues with the PA, but ultimately the PA is responsible for providing the equipment and connectivity necessary to adequately perform their job.
Standard Position Description
The student will assist in the management of special projects. Tasks may include: data collection and maintenance, coordinating meetings, organize project files, preform research, communicate with stakeholders and the project team, report updates and outcomes with project leaders, organizing leadership development programs for students, some general supervision of other student staff.
