Overview:
We are seeking a Healthcare Project Assistant who will support our NYS client. This role will play an integral part in planning, coordinating, analyzing, and documenting efforts to help drive project deliverables from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will be expected to capture and synthesize meeting discussions, develop meeting and presentation materials, craft core project documents and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to translate high level direction into actionable outputs.
Duties:
  • Prepare, document, and distribute meeting minutes and action items for key stakeholder and project meetings (up to 4-5 per week).

  • Create and refine meeting materials such as agendas, presentations, and status updates.

  • Develop strategic deliverables and materials, including written analyses and reports, that align with project objectives.

  • Conduct data analysis, gather insights, and summarize findings to support program design and decision making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Proactively identify project risks, solve problems, and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Self-manage assigned tasks, ensuring quality and consistency in final outputs.

  • Support ongoing project management and coordination activities, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a project assistant for healthcare related projects.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), with particular emphasis on advanced PowerPoint skills.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities with a keen attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, actionable deliverables.

  • Solid analytical skills to interpret data and derive meaningful insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and self-manage in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in dealing with ambiguity.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Medicaid programs or broader healthcare policy initiatives.

  • Experience working in or with government agencies.

  • Knowledge of children's healthcare, child welfare, social services, or other relevant policy areas.
