Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Operations Analyst - Hybrid Remote at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position will support the Operations team in complex functions including account onboarding and setup, maintenance of portfolio accounting and reporting systems, standardized reporting, transaction processing, and manual account/performance reconciliation. This role partners with internal teams and custodians to resolve exceptions and maintain accurate client and investment data across daily, monthly, and quarterly workflows.
This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial orientation period.
Position responsibilities:
  • Lead key operational processes and execute complex departmental tasks to keep daily, monthly, and quarterly workflows running efficiently.
  • Train and develop Operations Analysts; document procedures to support consistency and cross-coverage; drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform account onboarding, setup, and ongoing maintenance across portfolio accounting and reporting systems, including account/household setup and required data configuration.
  • Maintain data integrity by monitoring feeds, ensuring timely updates, and researching/resolving exceptions.
  • Create and monitor new asset setups and classifications to support accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Process standard operational transactions using established procedures, including transaction entry and quality checks.
  • Perform manual account and performance reconciliations; investigate breaks and work with custodians to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor alternative investments; enter related transactions across reporting systems; maintain supporting documentation.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly standardized reporting and related operational deliverables.
  • Assist with data aggregation setup and maintenance to support reporting and operational workflows.
  • Save and organize custodial statements and alternative investment documents; maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Assist with daily production activities and execute ad hoc requests in support of the Operations team.
  • Process account closing and client offboarding in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned to support the team.

Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently; strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple requests and priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and work well amongst cross-functional teams and external partners (including custodians).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of portfolio accounting and reporting systems, reconciliations, and alternative investment processing; experience with Orion Advisor Technology preferred.
