Position Overview

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide therapy and counseling services from the comfort of your own chosen workspace. While the role is primarily remote, you will also have the opportunity to engage with clients in our outpatient office as needed. Our aim is to facilitate work-life balance while empowering you to focus on your clinical practice without the burdens of administrative tasks like billing and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health statuses to determine their needs and identify appropriate intervention strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address a variety of issues, such as mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing them with tools and strategies needed to navigate their challenges and track progress effectively.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and engage clients in supportive therapeutic activities as deemed appropriate.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, including making referrals to psychiatrists or other specialists when necessary.
• Keep detailed records of client interactions and progress in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client base at Polaris includes individuals from diverse backgrounds facing various psychological challenges. You will work with clients experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. A commitment to understanding and respecting the unique perspectives of each client is essential for building a trusting therapeutic alliance. The successful LPC will be adept at working with different demographic groups and be culturally sensitive in their therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
• Prior clinical experience in a therapeutic setting is necessary.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and active listening skills to effectively engage with clients.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings with a variety of mental health conditions.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and methodologies.
• Experience in utilizing teletherapy platforms and remote counseling technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and includes a sign-on bonus.
