Outside Sales Engineer / Representative - Easteren Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana


Base salary PLUS monthly bonus ($120,000 - $250,000)
Branom Instrument Company is a manufacturers' representative and master distributor in process instrumentation and industrial automation for the control and monitoring of flow, level, pressure, temperature, analytics, and calibration, as well as a provider of on-site instrument service and repair. We offer market-leading products from over 100 companies. Since opening our doors in 1947, Branom has distinguished itself by fostering great relationships with customers, manufacturers, and across individuals on our own team. While we are headquartered in Seattle, WA, we do business across Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and California.


We are looking for a proactive and independent outside sales representative/engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work remotely in the Eastern Washington, Norther Idaho and Western Montana region. The assigned sales territories can be viewed by visiting the Branom website athttp://www.branom.com/sales-team. This role is responsible for the following territories: 42- Western Montana, 43-Central Washington, 45-Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho. The selected candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory, preferably in the Spokane, WA area.


The Job: Working within the assigned territory
(Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana), manage customer relationships, provide technical sales support and determining customer pricing strategies for various manufacturers at the customers places of business, virtually, at trade shows and in various forms of communication.
Responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle from cold calling to after sales support
including:
o Identifying opportunities and product specifications
o Delivering presentation to end users, facility engineering and maintenance personnel
o Developing relationships and interacting client purchasing departments
o Overseeing product commissioning support
Utilize company CRM (Odoo) to maintain customer database, track projects and opportunities and produce accurate performance reports for distribution
Collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Support to determine customers' needs

Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or technical application advice
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples, electronic or printed literature and emphasizes salable features
Quote price, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained with assistance from Inside Sales teammate
Estimates dates of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts within 30 days of date of expense
Penetrate all targets accounts and radiate sales from within client base
Investigates and resolves customer problems and deliveries
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web site and other sources
Attends tradeshows, training and other meetings on behalf of company
Coordinates customer training

Qualifications:To perform this job employee will have the following experience, skills and capabilities to perform essential duties and functions.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree required, with a preference for a degree in a science, math or engineering curriculum. Plus at least 3 years of sales experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data and information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database software, Project Management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
