Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in legal operations, legal technology, eDiscovery workflows, contract lifecycle management, matter management, legal spend review, and structured legal process documentation.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured legal operations review, legal technology workflow analysis, CLM documentation, eDiscovery planning, matter and spend management, intake process review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their legal operations and legal technology expertise to review realistic legal workflow scenarios, evaluate process requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based legal technology tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Legal Operations & Process Workflow Review

  • Review legal operations scenarios involving process maps, intake forms, matter workflows, legal service requests, knowledge management, and cross-functional legal processes
  • Evaluate legal workflow materials against source documents, process requirements, stakeholder needs, and defined review criteria
  • Support structured review of legal intake systems, department workflows, process improvement materials, and legal program documentation
  • Identify missing steps, workflow gaps, process inconsistencies, and expected legal operations outcomes

eDiscovery, Matter Management & Legal Spend Support

  • Review legal technology scenarios involving eDiscovery plans, review workflows, matter-management reports, e-billing materials, spend data, and vendor documentation
  • Evaluate matter and spend outputs against documented requirements, review criteria, billing rules, and legal department expectations
  • Support structured review of Relativity, Clio, MyCase, e-billing systems, matter management platforms, and review workflow documentation
  • Prepare clear written explanations for legal operations decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

CLM, Vendor Evaluation & Legal Technology Documentation

  • Review CLM scenarios involving contract lifecycle workflows, rollout plans, template automation, vendor-evaluation decks, implementation materials, and system requirements
  • Evaluate CLM and legal technology materials against defined use cases, workflow goals, adoption needs, and documentation standards
  • Support structured review of materials connected to Icertis, HotDocs, Contract Express, Relativity, Clio, MyCase, or similar legal technology platforms
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, eDiscovery, contract lifecycle management, matter management, legal spend management, law firm operations, in-house legal operations, or legal-tech implementation
  • Experience in one or more areas such as legal process improvement, legal intake, legal spend review, eDiscovery workflows, contract lifecycle management, matter management, e-billing, knowledge management, or enterprise legal program design
  • Familiarity with tools and systems such as Relativity, Icertis, HotDocs, Contract Express, Clio, MyCase, Ironclad, Agiloft, LinkSquares, SimpleLegal, Brightflag, TeamConnect, or similar legal technology platforms
  • Comfort reading and preparing legal operations artifacts such as process maps, intake forms, matter-management reports, CLM rollout materials, eDiscovery plans, vendor-evaluation decks, legal spend reports, and implementation notes
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate legal operations workflows into clear, structured task documentation

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in legal operations, law, business administration, information systems, project management, legal technology, paralegal studies, or a related field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in legal operations, eDiscovery, CLM, matter management, legal spend management, or legal technology implementation is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an AmLaw firm, corporate legal department, legal-tech vendor, consulting firm, or sophisticated legal operations environment
  • Familiarity with CLOC, ACC Legal Ops, eDiscovery review workflows, CLM implementation, matter management, legal intake, e-billing, vendor management, or knowledge management
