Job description

Required: 3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting, and hands-on experience with both SurePoint/LMS and QuickBooks Online (QBO). Experience with Clio is strongly preferred but not required. Applications without the required law firm accounting, trust accounting, SurePoint/LMS, and QBO experience will not be considered.
We are seeking an experienced Legal Accountant / Bookkeeper to support multiple law firm clients in a fully remote role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage legal billing and client invoicing
  • Maintain and reconcile trust (IOLTA) accounts
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Provide vendor management
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Ensure synchronization and accuracy across legal practice management and accounting systems
  • Prepare month-end financials
  • Process payroll (including preparation of 1099s)
  • Communicate regularly with clients and internal team
  • Meet all deadlines
  • Support special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting (required)
  • Hands-on experience with SurePoint/LMS (required)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Experience with Clio for legal billing, trust accounting, and/or matter management (preferred)
  • Experience maintaining and reconciling accounting records between Clio and QuickBooks Online (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology
