Summary / Primary Role

The Sales Manager – Transport and Warehouse is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company’s customer base within the transportation, warehousing, and logistics sectors. This role develops and executes strategic sales initiatives, builds strong client relationships, and identifies new business opportunities to achieve sales objectives. The Sales Manager serves as a key partner to customers by delivering tailored supply chain solutions while collaborating across the organization to support long-term business growth.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented sales professional who is passionate about building customer relationships and identifying growth opportunities within the transportation and warehousing industry. The ideal candidate will have experience developing new business, managing strategic accounts, and creating sales strategies that drive revenue and market expansion.

Business Development & Market Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transportation, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by researching market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen relationships with prospective and existing customers to drive long-term business success.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges, negotiating agreements, and delivering customized logistics solutions.

Sales Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and expand market presence.
  • Partner with operations, marketing, and internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met and services align with market demands.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience within transportation, warehousing, logistics, flatbed, metals, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive business environment.
  • Strong leadership, relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain, transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities with the capability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require.
  • Experience within transportation, warehousing, logistics, metals, manufacturing, or industrial markets preferred.

Compensation & Schedule Details:

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 
Commission Eligible: Yes
