Job description

Dykema Gossett, PLLC, a leading national law firm celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, is recruiting to hire an experienced Litigation Project Analyst.ย  This position supports Dykema case teams and the Litigation Support team in executing eDiscovery workflows across the lifecycle of a matter. Responsibilities include project intake, Relativity workspace setup, data handling, and execution of established processes to support review and production of electronically stored information (ESI).ย  The Litigation Project Analyst works closely with Litigation Project Managers and eDiscovery Engineers to carry out defined tasks, maintain accurate tracking and documentation, and support consistent, defensible workflows in accordance with firm protocols and client expectations.ย  The Litigation Project Analyst position is fully remote and open to our offices in Michigan, Illinois, Texas and California.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with project intake by gathering and confirming case-specific requirements and instructions from case teams or senior staff.
  • Configure Relativity workspaces using established templates, including user permissions, layouts, and basic workflow components.
  • Perform data intake and basic triage of structured and unstructured data under the direction of senior team members.
  • Execute standard workflows, including processing coordination, data loading, batching, searching, and basic reporting.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of project requests, data handling activities, and production deliverables in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Communicate status updates to internal team members and escalate risks, issues, or delays as identified.
  • Support document production workflows, including preparation, quality control steps, and delivery under established guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for defined services, such as scanning, OCR, or data processing, as directed by senior staff.
  • Monitor the Relativity environment for basic issues and notify appropriate team members to support resolution.
  • Assist with user account setup and provide basic guidance to attorneys and staff on the use of Relativity and related tools.
  • Support training efforts by reinforcing standard workflows and best practices.
  • Draft and maintain documentation related to tasks performed, issues, and resolutions to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide support across litigation support applications as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Working knowledge of RelativityOne, including basic workspace configuration and review workflows.
  • Preferred one to three years of experience supporting eDiscovery workflows within a law firm, vendor, or corporate legal environment.
  • Foundational understanding of eDiscovery practices across the EDRM lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with data handling concepts, including file types, metadata, and document review processes.
  • Ability to follow established workflows while identifying and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, and internal team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with additional litigation support and trial presentation technologies, such as TextMap, Trial Director, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with multimedia formats, including audio and video files, is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role operates within a standard business environment and is eligible for remote work, subject to firm policies and business needs.
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Occasional flexibility outside of these hours may be required to support time-sensitive matters or deadlines; however, after-hours requests are infrequent.
  • Work may involve collaboration with case teams, clients, and colleagues across multiple time zones.
