About My Serenity Sanctuary

My Serenity Sanctuary is a growing mission-driven nonprofit focused on sustainable impact, community care, and healthy organizational growth. As we expand our programs and partnerships in 2026, we are strengthening our internal operations to ensure we grow responsibly and sustainably. Our People & Culture Team plays a key role in building the systems, processes, and volunteer infrastructure that support our mission.

Position Summary

We are seeking two (2) Volunteer HR & Operations Team Members to support People & Culture initiatives.

This role is ideal for early-career HR professionals, HR students, or individuals seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit HR, people operations, and organizational development.

This is an execution-focused role we are looking for individuals who can take ideas and turn them into structured outcomes with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Create HR and operations templates, tools, and internal resources
  • Support volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Optimize the use of Google Workspace and internal collaboration systems
  • Assist with policy development and documentation
  • Assess current technology tools and research alternatives
  • Design and launch a Volunteer Appreciation Program (April 2026)
  • Support recruitment efforts for key volunteer and operational roles
  • Participate in a monthly leadership strategy meeting

Qualifications

  • Experience or coursework in HR, People Operations, Organizational Development, or Business Operations (entry-level welcome)
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects to completion
  • Comfortable gathering information and proposing solutions
  • Detail-oriented and systems-minded
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a fully remote team environment
  • Commitment of at least 4 months or more
