Human Resources (HR) Manager

Position Overview

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources for the firm, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and culture initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, and creating a supportive work environment in a fast-paced legal setting.

This position may be performed fully remotely; however, candidates must reside in Wisconsin at the time of hire and maintain Wisconsin residency throughout employment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials
  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns, coaching managers, and promoting a positive workplace culture
  • Manage benefits administration, leave tracking, and HRIS systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Coordinate performance review processes and employee development initiatives
  • Assist leadership with organizational planning and workforce strategy
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Partner with firm leadership on culture, retention, and growth initiatives

Qualifications
