Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for public health communications professionals experienced in reviewing health communication materials, public health documents, campaign summaries, outreach materials, education resources, spreadsheets, slide decks, and presentation-ready health artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on public health communications artifact review, rubric-based evaluation, document and spreadsheet assessment, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, communication, aesthetic, and presentation issues.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Public Health Communications Artifact Review

  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving public health messaging, health education, outreach campaigns, risk communication, community engagement, and health communication planning
  • Review public health materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
  • Assess whether messaging is audience-appropriate, evidence-informed, accessible, and aligned with the stated public health context
  • Identify inaccurate claims, unclear communication goals, weak audience framing, incomplete guidance, or poor linkage between evidence and messaging

Health Messaging & Communication Quality Evaluation

  • Review materials involving health campaigns, plain-language resources, public-facing guidance, stakeholder updates, behavior change communication, and community outreach
  • Assess tone, clarity, health literacy, cultural relevance, accessibility, and communication effectiveness
  • Evaluate public health reports, education materials, communication plans, campaign summaries, and executive-facing recommendations for rigor and usability
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves public health communication quality and artifact usefulness

Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review

  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in public health communications, health education, health promotion, health policy communication, community outreach, public health campaigns, healthcare communications, or related work
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
  • Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • Academic backgrounds in public health, health communication, health education, epidemiology, communications, health policy, behavioral science, community health, or related fields may be relevant
  • Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
  • Professional training in health literacy, public health messaging, risk communication, community engagement, or health campaign development may also be relevant depending on project scope

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree, MPH, MSc, MHA, or comparable public health or communications-related credential
  • Experience creating or reviewing public health campaigns, health education materials, community outreach resources, public-facing guidance, risk communication materials, or stakeholder presentations
