Senior Director of Sales, Food - Specialty Ingredients NA
Remote
This is an exempt position.
Position Summary
The Senior Director of Sales will lead the North American Food Sales team for ADM's industry leading specialty ingredients business. This leader will empower their team to drive revenue growth with regional food manufacturing customers. This role requires hands-on execution along with an extensive understanding of food manufacturing, market trends, and customer needs. The specialty ingredients business is helping to fuel the long term success of ADM's Nutrition segment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Implement the North American go to market strategy aligned with the Specialty Ingredients business priorities
    • Create innovation opportunities in prioritized food segments
    • Provide insights and feedback on our sales planning process - given customer and channel market dynamics
  • Revenue Growth
    • Train and develop our sales team by deploying value-based selling of specialty ingredients and solutions
    • Activate commercial, CD&D (creation, design, and development), Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to support our food manufacturing customers as they launch new products
    • Gain customer specific insights on potential new products that enables our innovation process team
  • Customer Engagement and Team Leadership
    • Build and sustain deep relationship with our food manufacturing customers
    • Lead, coach, and support a high-performing sales team
    • Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable on revenue growth, pipeline value, win rate, and customer engagement metrics
    • Foster a culture of success, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence internally and externally
  • Expertise in value-based selling along with pipeline management in Salesforce

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required; MBA preferred
Required Experience
  • 10 years of sales or commercial leadership in food ingredients or related sectors
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading geographically dispersed sales teams
  • Experience selling into food & beverage manufacturers (B2B focus)
  • Strong understanding of ingredient applications and formulation-driven sales
