Food Service Account Manager - Southeast Territory


Rebellyous Foods is a growth-stage plant-based meat company working to make our products available and affordable for everyone through the design of novel manufacturing technology. Rebellyous Foods is seeking a Food Service Account Manager who enjoys making a difference, being a part of a team, and takes pride in working in a fast-paced, constantly changing startup environment. We are seeking a mission-focused and dedicated team member to enthusiastically represent our products, create sales opportunities, and build partnerships with foodservice customers.

We are a small team of professionals working to make an impact by bringing healthier, climate-friendly foods to kids in public schools, patients and workers in hospitals, the incarcerated and cafeterias across the nation. Our Food Service Account Manager should be excited to roll up their sleeves, work with the team and customers daily, travel frequently regionally and occasionally nationally, and drive our mission forward with a strong sense of urgency. We value dedication to excellence and impact, and we need a no nonsense, high performing,experienced food service sales manager ready to navigate complex operational challenges and avoid costly distractions. A joyfully strong work ethic and the ability to inspire the same in others is absolutely required.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth in assigned territories and achieve sales goals.
  • Become an expert in our product offerings, customer needs and distribution.
  • Present and sell products to current and potential clients, develop and maintain relationships.
  • Monitor opportunities and complete the bid process for foodservice accounts.
  • Utilize the companys CRM efficiently to track sales calls, opportunities, wins, campaigns and forecasting.
  • Hire, and manage performance of sales brokers in assigned territory and provide training and support as needed.
  • Collaborate and refine strategies with the team, including market expansion, priorities, timing and budgets.
  • Create sales strategies in territories assigned and collaborate with brokers on pipeline strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributor reps, set up and conduct distributor training.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure territory forecasts are accurately reflected in ingredient purchasing plans and finished goods volumes.
  • Make recommendations, provide feedback and collaborate on product development projects.
  • Organize and attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to build relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Attend and actively participate in priority sales meetings and appointments.


Qualifications: Candidates should have all of the following credentials:

  • Two years food service sales experience required and extensive food service industry relationships preferred.
  • Friendly, professional, and courteous, placing a strong value on relationships, and genuinely enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Confident and effective public speaking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Flexible and willing to take on any tasks to support team efforts.
  • Excellent time management and organization, with ability to prioritize and triage obligations.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability with the ability to be a self-starter and make independent decisions.
  • IT fluency with skills including GSuite. Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Maintain a current food handlers permit and apply food safety knowledge as necessary.
  • Interest in the plant-based meat industry.


Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position may require weekend or after-hours work.


Location & Travel: Remote work and homebase required to be in the Southeast territory. Work requires up to 50 percent travel time. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license and a personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed).


Compensation Package: The salary range for this position, $90,000 - $105,000, depends on experience. Medical, dental, vision insurance offered. Paid time off and company holidays.
