CTG is seeking an experienced Epic HIM Analyst.

Location: Remote with 3-6 days travel to client location in CA every month
Duration: 12 months

We are seeking an experienced Epic HIM Analyst to support a system-wide Epic expansion/implementation focused on ambulatory, home health, and behavioral health workflows. This role will lead the design, build, and optimization of Health Information Management (HIM) functionality within Epic HIM and related applications.

The analyst will collaborate closely with HIM leadership, compliance, clinical operations, and IT teams to ensure accurate record management, release of information, chart completion, document management, and regulatory compliance across diverse care settings.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Application Build

  • Lead HIM-related build activities for ambulatory, home health, and behavioral health workflows.
  • Configure chart completion workflows, deficiency tracking, and document management processes.
  • Build and maintain release of information (ROI) workflows and disclosure tracking.
  • Configure scanning, indexing, and document routing rules.
  • Support record retention and legal medical record configuration.

Workflow Design & Optimization

  • Map current-state HIM processes and design future-state workflows within Epic.
  • Align workflows with specialty-specific requirements for ambulatory, home health, and behavioral health.
  • Ensure appropriate privacy segmentation and access controls for behavioral health records.
  • Standardize document types, chart correction workflows, and audit processes.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Ensure configuration aligns with HIPAA, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Support break-the-glass and sensitive record functionality where applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation and retention requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting.

Integration & Collaboration

  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to ensure documentation workflows are aligned.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces related to document ingestion and external records.
  • Support integration of scanned and electronically received documentation.

Testing & Go-Live Support

  • Develop and execute HIM-specific test scripts.
  • Participate in integrated testing across applications.
  • Support go-live readiness, activation, and stabilization efforts.
  • Provide end-user support and issue resolution post-implementation.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain detailed build documentation and configuration records.
  • Participate in governance committees related to documentation standards and record management.
  • Assist with development of training materials and workflow documentation.

Background in settings that prioritize behavioral health as a core component of patient care is strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $145,000 annually. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
