This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of students and their families. You will engage with students, teachers, and parents through online platforms, ensuring that you provide the same level of support as if you were physically present in a school setting. The work schedule follows the school calendar, ensuring you have time off during holidays and breaks while requiring some flexibility for special events and parent-teacher conferences.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students based on their academic and personal challenges.
• Develop individualized intervention plans that include tailored strategies and resources to foster students' well-being.
• Provide one-on-one and group counseling to address various issues, including behavior management strategies, self-esteem challenges, peer relationships, and crisis intervention.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement effective strategies that promote academic success and emotional growth.
• Identify students who may require specialized services, facilitating referrals to mental health professionals or community resources as needed.
• Serve as a strong advocate for students' rights, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and educational opportunities.
• Conduct home visits and communicate with community agencies to gather vital information related to student support.
• Facilitate educational workshops on critical topics such as bullying prevention, tackling conflict resolution, and increasing mental health awareness for students, parents, and staff.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all student interactions, assessments, and interventions in compliance with legal standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices and research in school social work.

Our School Social Worker will support a diverse student body, addressing their unique needs across various grade levels and backgrounds. This position requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students in today’s educational landscape, including mental health issues, family dynamics, and social pressures. The focus is on fostering resilience and providing tools that empower students to succeed both academically and personally.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, along with effective behavior management techniques.
• Excellent counseling and assessment skills, with the ability to engage students and families empathetically.
• Familiarity with relevant education laws, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and understanding the importance of ethical practice in school settings.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, particularly within educational or school environments.
• Experience developing intervention plans tailored to children and adolescents, including collaboration with families and community services.
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations and provide support to students in distress.
• Experience with technology platforms used for virtual counseling and collaboration.
