Overview :We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong expertise in Guidewire InsuranceNow and deep insurance domain knowledge across Personal and Commercial Lines. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to drive successful delivery across product configuration, integrations, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for InsuranceNow implementations and enhancements
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements
- Support configuration and enhancements across:
- Policy lifecycle (quote, bind, issue, renew, endorse, cancel)
- Underwriting rules and eligibility
- Rating and product setup
- Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder meetings
- Perform gap analysis between current system capabilities and business needs
- Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage
- Collaborate on integrations with third-party systems (e.g., rating engines, data providers)
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through delivery
RequirementsRequired Skills & ExperienceGuidewire InsuranceNow Expertise- Hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow
- Strong understanding of:
- Product configuration
- Policy lifecycle management
- Rating and underwriting rules
Insurance Domain Knowledge- Deep understanding of:
- Personal Lines (Home, Auto)
- Commercial Lines
- Familiarity with:
- Coverage structures
- Deductibles, limits, and exclusions
- Underwriting guidelines
Business Analysis Skills- Proven experience in writing:
- User stories
- Functional specifications
- Acceptance criteria
- Ability to break down complex requirements into clear, actionable deliverables
Stakeholder Management- Experience working directly with business users, underwriters, and product owners
- Ability to challenge requirements and recommend better alternatives
Communication Skills- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred / Nice to Have- Consulting experience in insurance or Guidewire implementations
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to:
- API integrations
- Data mapping and transformation
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence
