  • Under moderate supervision, designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, and analysis to enable informed business decisions.

  • Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

Master's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance plus 3 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics. As an equivalent alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance plus 5 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics.  


Requirements

The position requires experience with:

  • Enterprise-scale storage capacity planning and analytics, including Dell ECS object storage management and capacity planning and Dell PowerScale (Isilon) NAS storage management and capacity planning.
  • The role requires the ability to analyze and plan storage capacity across both object and NAS storage platforms, including evaluating architectural tradeoffs, data protection and redundancy models, performance considerations, and capacity efficiency to align storage solutions with diverse application and business requirements.
  • The position further requires experience analyzing raw versus usable capacity, forecasting storage growth trends, and assessing metadata and system overhead in highly available data center environments.
  • The role also requires experience developing advanced analytics, reporting, and data visualizations using Power BI to communicate capacity utilization, trends, and recommendations to technical and management audiences.
  • Experience extracting and analyzing infrastructure and service management data from ServiceNow (PDSM). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for quantitative analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, engineers, operations teams, and application stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective capacity planning solutions.
  • This position is eligible for telecommuting and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories.
