Job description

hackajob is collaborating with Moody's Corporation to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.

At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies

  • 10+ years of business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data product delivery, ideally supporting finance, revenue, lead-to-cash, or enterprise reporting environments
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and testable acceptance criteria
  • Strong partnership skills across business and technology teams with the ability to influence design decisions and recommend practical, business-aligned solutions
  • Experience designing business-aligned data products, semantic models, reporting frameworks, and reusable analytics solutions in partnership with engineering teams
  • Knowledge of data modeling, Lakehouse and data warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling, semantic layers, data quality, lineage, and governance
  • Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Power BI, or comparable analytics platforms; familiarity with CRM and analytical source systems such as Salesforce is preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to validate data, challenge assumptions, and ensure reporting accuracy and usability
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

Partner with business and technology teams to design and deliver trusted analytics, reporting, data products, and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Partner with Business Intelligence, Financial Planning and Analysis, Sales Planning and Analytics, and other stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and prioritize reporting, analytics, and data product requirements
  • Translate business problems into clear user stories, business requirements, data definitions, and acceptance criteria
  • Act as an architectural partner by evaluating and recommending the best approach across Databricks, reporting layers, analytical workflows, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders while managing expectations, trade-offs, and delivery scope
  • Support data modeling activities aligned to business semantics including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, grain, and lineage requirements
  • Contribute to reporting design, source-to-target mapping, semantic layer development, reusable data products, and data consumption patterns
  • Lead or support end-to-end testing of reports, datasets, and analytical outputs, validating results against source systems and business rules
  • Ensure solutions meet standards for data quality, accuracy, governance, usability, and identify opportunities for AI-driven insights, automation, and decision support

About the Team

The Customer Operations and Risk organization supports the customer lifecycle and lead-to-cash processes across the enterprise. As part of the Business Systems function within the Data Management and Analytics team, you will help deliver trusted data, reporting, and insights that enable informed decision-making. The team partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable analytics solutions, promote responsible adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across reporting and operational processes.
