Job Description

Data Center/Systems Administrator


On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Data Center Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR. 


Data Center/Systems Administrator Job Details


  • To diagnose and remediate hardware issues on deployed infrastructure 
  • To deploy systems across a variety of hardware and operating systems 
  • To assist in gathering and producing telemetry data (monitoring, reporting, alerting) 
  • To deploy/maintain system level patches and AV 
  • Develop and maintain system documentation for Iab/data center configuration and customizations. Develop and maintain system documentation for server/software configuration and customizations. 
  • Days and Hours - will be a compressed schedule Friday, Saturday and every other Monday, 12 hours a day/night. Need to be flexible to either day hours or night hours. If a holiday falls on a work day, there will be work that day. No exceptions 
  • Will be working on documentation as well as oncall for helpdesk support. 


Data Center/Systems Administrator Mandatory Skills


  • 1-5 years hands on experience 
  • Self starter and highly motivated 
  • Ability to work weekends, flexible hours, and travel if needed 
  • Ability to participate in an on call rotation 
  • Background in supporting troubleshooting efforts on various degrees of hardware (servers/desktops/laptops) 
  • Windows/Linux/Mac SysAdmin skill set (RDP, SSH, read logs, etc.) 
  • VMware vSphere (VCP) certification 
  • Microsoft MCP certification on various Operation Systems 
  • Knowledge/use of SAN and storage technologies, NetApp preferred. 
  • Awareness of ITIL, AGILE, and/or DevOps best practices 
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN (Switches, VLANs, Routers, VPNs, Firewalls, MPLS and Security) to assist Network team in troubleshooting and escalations.
