Job description
As an Information Systems Engineer 3, you will collaborate with a team to design and implement Datacenter solutions that support NetApp's various functional areas. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs, as well as develop effective implementation plans.
The Infrastructure System Engineer implements and manages infrastructure services, including proof of concept execution, outcome assessment, and preparing use cases and reports. Requires expertise in Unix/Linux, Kubernetes, or Storage, plus automation with Python or other scripting languages.
Strong UNIX/Linux admin and Red Hat deployment experience, with focus on virtualization and automation
Proficient in scripting (Python, Go, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code
Skilled in config management (Ansible, Puppet) for datacenter support
Familiar with NetApp, storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI), and centralized monitoring tools
Knowledge of Linux security, vulnerability management, and compliance standards
Design, deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift preferred)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and virtualization (VMware, Containers)
Proficient in cloud migration and solution design (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
Monitor resource usage, trends, costs, and capacity
Document processes and train operations team members
Ability to respond quickly to urgent business issues
Stay informed on IT trends and system architecture strategies
Collaborate with stakeholders (PMs, Delivery Managers, Architects) on projects and operations
Adhere to incident/change management and accurate time reporting
Lead application installation projects and process improvements
Report status, resource needs, and project updates to management
A minimum of 4 years of experience is required; 4 to 8 years of experience is preferred.
A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related field is required, or equivalent experience.
Industry certifications such as Red Hat or other Linux and Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 109,650 - 162,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
