The opportunity
We're looking for someone to join our team as Associate Dean (AD) of Academic Effectiveness, AFX-a full-time role supporting our online Global Campus here at Southern NH University. You'll help shape our operational needs and strategic direction while promoting the success of both our faculty and students. You will be part of an Academic Effectiveness and Instructor Experience team dedicated to our non-exempt Adjuncts located in California.
You'll lead operational-level projects and collaborate across departments, always keeping the faculty and student experience at the center of what we do. You'll help manage our non-exempt adjunct instructor team in collaborative environments with multiple projects running simultaneously.
You will focus on building cross-functional partnerships, improving operational efficiency, and bringing ideas to the table. Reporting to the Executive Director, AFX, you'll join our team dedicated to engaging with, overseeing, and supporting our online adjunct faculty community.

You'll get to:
  • Promote learner and faculty success and quality through data-informed decisions and projects
  • Support successful programs through oversight, coaching, engagement and management of California-based adjunct faculty who work as non-exempt adjunct employees at the University.
  • Assure the achievement of institutional and programmatic benchmarks, performance indicators and process efficiency with analytical support and discipline.
  • Collaborate with university team members to ensure that we support our world-class faculty according to SNHU's core values.
  • Develop and follow processes to support faculty according to accreditation standards, institutional policies, and human resource standards,
  • Be part of the team that is responsible and accountable for optimization of all parts of the faculty experience and lifecycle including daily operational processes and tasks related to students and faculty
  • Lead collaborative efforts across departments to support learner, faculty, and graduate success and program growth.
  • Conduct environmental scanning and research in collaboration with internal and external partners to identify trends and inform actions to increase faculty excellence.
  • Support improvements in processes to increase automation, improve data and reporting, ability to grow, reduce cost, and better support collaboration between partners.
  • Support a high engagement faculty experience along each phase of the adjunct faculty lifecycle
  • Participate in communication and collaboration across partners to assure holistic approaches to process and experience optimization.
  • Participate in the review, documentation, and reporting of processes, process-based metrics, initiative progress and measures, across stakeholder teams, to maintain the transparency of the results of this team's efforts.
  • Analyze data to improve the faculty experience, both generally and for non-exempt adjuncts.

What we're looking for:
  • Master's degree
  • 2+ years of progressive experience working in higher education administration
  • 1+ years experience mentoring or coaching the performance of others.
  • Classroom experience preferably teaching in an online setting
  • Experience using data to guide decision-making
  • Broad knowledge of many areas within higher education institutions

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $85,563.00 - $136,928.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $94,548.00 - $127,918.00.
