The Manager, Accounting & Controller Services acts as the primary client contact, building relationships, facilitating meetings, and providing guidance and feedback to junior team members while ensuring high-quality service and support for clients. This role applies accounting theories and principles to resolve complex business challenges and optimize financial processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.ย ย 

Job Duties
  • Apply accounting theories, principles, and systems design to address complex business challenges and optimize financial processesย 
  • Review accounts and research discrepancies
  • Provide oversight of the accounts receivable and accounts payable process
  • Ensures timely invoicing, collection, accurate and efficient bill payment processing, and reconciliation activityย 
  • Develop work plans, project timelines, and key milestonesย 
  • Review journal entries, ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirementsย 
  • Review account balances and financial statementsย 
  • Research issues identified by staff and works toward resolutionย 
  • Ensure proper workpaper documentation for all accountsย 
  • Managing regulatory requirements and internal reporting deadlinesย 
  • Participate in quality assurance initiativesย 
  • Review of work done by themself and others before submission, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L classification and state and local tax filings for accuracy and compliance
  • Communicating frequently and effectively with client contactsย 
  • Provide general accounting feedback and recommendations to clientsย 
  • Ensure delivery goals are met by the team through process management and inter-departmental communicationย 
  • Identify client issues and deficiencies and assist with recommending solutionsย 
  • Act as the primary client contactย 
  • Build client relationships and involve other team members to leverage diverse perspectives and deliver comprehensive solutionsย 
  • Actively listen to clients, provide timely responses and address client needs effectivelyย 
  • Facilitate client meetings and involve junior team members in theseย 
  • Manage client workload and projects from initiation to completion, developing workplans, project timelines, and key milestonesย 
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring deadlines are met, and clients receive the highest level of service and supportย 
  • Prepare, communicate and monitor budgets on client engagementsย 
  • Act as a coach to junior team membersย ย 
  • Share knowledge, insights, and best practices with others through training, coaching, or mentoringย

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the market and industry trendsย

Education:
