Vice President, Member Success

We are looking for a Vice President, Member Success to lead NCG's retail strategy and ensure our programs and services consistently deliver exceptional value across our member co-ops.

This role provides leadership across Strategic Development, Retail Operations, Business Expansion and Transformation teams to build a unified system that drives member co-op success through high-impact programs, strong financial and operational performance and long-term organizational growth. This is an ideal position for a seasoned retail leader who excels at aligning cross-functional teams and strengthening member engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for growing the retail membership base and increasing retail member engagement.
  • Oversee delivery of support services for new store development, relocations, and expansion projects.
  • Ensure delivery of coaching, tools, and systems that strengthen management, operations, and financial sustainability of member co-ops.
  • Lead the collaboration with NCG Business Technology, Marketing, Purchasing, and Business Services teams to develop programs, services, resources, tools and systems that work for co-ops.
  • Lead the collaboration with NCG Marketing & Communications to develop and deliver campaigns and communication strategies that increase co-op participation, program engagement, and perception of value from NCG membership and programs.
  • Lead the collaboration with the Business Intelligence team to acquire and analyze data related to member needs, perceptions, and behaviors, using insights to inform business plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 12+ years of senior leadership experience in retail, organizational development, strategy, or multi-site operations.
  • Proven ability to lead through senior leaders in a complex retail organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in retail strategic planning, financial oversight and enterprise alignment.
  • Demonstrated experience with retail expansion, development, or large-scale initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement (GMs, boards, internal leaders).
  • Understanding of retail food operations, including retail financial accounting, retail financial analysis, P&L management, and cash flow management.
  • Between 30%-75% business travel is required, including overnights and weekends.

The salary for this position is $297,209.

Workstation Options

  • Home Office (Contiguous U.S.): Eligible if within 100 miles of a major airport and has sufficient internet bandwidth and mobile phone service.
  • St. Paul, MN Office: Workstations available at 2610 University Ave W, with free parking and access to the Green Line Light Rail (Westgate Station).
