The Role

This is a co-op opportunity in Norwood or Cambridge, MA from July 13th - December 11th, 2026. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the co-op. Start date will be July 13th, 2026.
The Intelligent Planning & Digital Enablement team within Supply Planning is at the forefront of Moderna's Intelligent Supply Chain (ISC) transformation. The team is responsible for shaping how planning teams operate, how digital tools and systems are used, and how data, automation, and AI are embedded into daily decision-making across Commercial and Clinical Supply Chains.
As a co-op on this team, you will work at the intersection of supply planning, digital systems, analytics, and automation. You will support real, in-flight initiatives related to planning systems, scenario planning, data enablement, and AI-driven use cases-gaining hands-on exposure to how a modern, digitally enabled supply chain operates in a highly regulated, global environment.

Here's What You'll Do
  • Support digital and system-enabled initiatives across supply planning, including planning processes, data flows, and decision-support tools.

  • Analyze planning processes and data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision quality through systems, automation, and AI.

  • Contribute to Intelligent Supply Chain (ISC) initiatives such as scenario planning, exception management, and analytics-driven use cases.

  • Design, build, or enhance automations and digital workflows supporting planning and reporting activities.

  • Develop and document digital planning standards, playbooks, and ways of working.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Digital, and Analytics.

  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of new or enhanced planning tools, dashboards, or automations.

  • Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations for working sessions and leadership reviews.

  • Participate in workshops or kaizen-style events focused on improving planning decision-making.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • Current student enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, Data / Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated fluency using modern AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot or Copilot Studio, OpenAI advanced capabilities (e.g., ChatGPT), or similar large language models (e.g., Claude).

  • Hands-on experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or low-code automation tools, preferably Microsoft Power Automate (cloud or desktop flows).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems into structured, data-driven solutions.

  • Working proficiency in Excel and comfort handling and interpreting data from multiple sources.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna's site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.

  • At Moderna, we are focused on delivering on our mission by enabling talent to thrive. For this role, we are currently unable to offer immigration sponsorship. Candidates must already hold work authorization in US and be able to maintain that status without the need for future sponsorship.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
  • GPA 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

  • Coursework or experience related to digital transformation, analytics, automation, or systems-based planning.

  • Familiarity with tools such as SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or SQL (not required).

  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute to high-performing teams.

  • Desire to make an impact as part of a bold, curious, and collaborative organization.

Pay & Benefits

At Moderna, we believe that when you feel your best, you can do your best work. That's why our co-op benefits are designed to support you during your time with us -at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

  • Free premium access to meditation and mindfulness classes

  • Subsidized commuter benefits

  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick time, holidays, volunteer days, and a discretionary year-end shutdown

  • Location-specific perks and extras

The salary range for this role is $20.00 - $60.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
