Portfolio Management Team Lead will help establish the portfolio management, collateral management and policy infrastructure for the Captive Insurance Banking division. In addition, the candidate will provide analytical, portfolio management, underwriting and compliance, and management support within the Captive Insurance Banking division of Global Advisory.

The colleague will have their own portfolio management and oversight responsibilities along with the opportunity to build a team and manage direct reports over time.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the establishment of the portfolio management, collateral management and policy infrastructure for the Captive Insurance Banking division.
  • Participate in the oversight, underwriting, monitoring and compliance management for the Captive Insurance Banking division of Global Advisory, including captive and reinsurance companies.
  • Underwrite and present credit limits to approval authorities. Own primary responsibility for monitoring commercial portfolio risks. This role will encompass both credit underwriting and portfolio management. Responsible for underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and ongoing credit monitoring of assigned portfolio.
  • Actively monitors conditions in assigned markets and provides updates when appropriate to Division Management and approval/oversight authorities.
  • Participation in strategic and innovative development in process workflows this new initiative and products.
  • Maintain frequent contact with Trade Operations, AML/BSA, Credit and other key partners to stay current on internal requirements and trends.
  • Will work directly with the Team Leaders, Relationship Managers, Regional Credit Officer, Credit Review, and Segment Risk across the commercial bank. Must be able to work on a multi-locale team.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Commercial Credit Experience
  • 5+years of experience in underwriting and collateral management (liquid financial collateral) for Captive Insurance and/or Reinsurance Companies.
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in underwriting and collateral management (liquid financial collateral) for Captive Insurance and/or Reinsurance Companies.
  • Management experience
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • MBA or comparable advanced degree

Compensation Range:

93,000.00 - 189,000.00 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
