Job description

PolyCon Solutions seeks a remote Acquisition Analyst to support our subcontractor and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) client. The contractor will provide comprehensive program, acquisition, financial, and administrative support to AST to ensure effective contract management, accurate reporting, and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

The Contractor must provide professional and technical support services to Commercial Space (AST), including:

  • Program and Task Order Management
    • Support AST CORs, TOs, and ETOs in the management, tracking, and reporting of contracts and task orders.
    • Maintain accurate schedules, milestones, deliverables, and labor tracking to enable timely decision-making and program oversight.
  • Acquisition and Contract Support
    • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), business cases, justifications, and other acquisition materials.
    • Support contract closeout and ensure accurate data in compliance with FAA and DOT policies.
  • Financial Tracking and Reporting
    • Maintain funding trackers, reconcile financial records, and provide timely reporting on obligations, expenditures, and forecasts.
    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports to support Government oversight and management.
    • Generate reports, assist with audits, and process and track obligations in PRISM, Delphi, and other applicable financial systems. Create purchase requisitions for contracts and perform travel reviewer duties to ensure accurate financial management of contracts and task orders.
  • Data Management and Database Support
    • Maintain and audit contract and task order databases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AST reporting requirements.
    • Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve reporting and data quality.
  • Leadership Briefings and Reporting
    • Prepare briefing materials, dashboards, and data visualizations for AST leadership to support informed decision-making.
    • Provide timely updates on task order status, risks, and financial performance.
  • Travel Administration (E2 Travel Support)
    • Support AST personnel with preparation and review of travel authorizations and vouchers in the FAA E2 Travel system for accuracy and completeness.
    • Reconcile travel expenditures, maintain travel logs, and generate reports to support financial tracking.
    • Provide technical assistance with E2 system navigation and data entry, without approving or certifying travel

Required Qualifications:

  • 4- 8 years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience with a Master's degree.
  • Experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and processes, preferably within FAA or DOT environments.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and related contract materials.
  • Familiarity with federal financial and procurement systems such as PRISM, Delphi, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with the FAA E2 Travel system or similar travel management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and briefing materials to support leadership decision-making.
  • Familiarity with the FAA Corporate Work Plan (CWP) system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with advanced Excel skills preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required from a college or university with at least 4- 8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of Public Trust.
