Job description

Description: NSI requires a Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager to support the PMA 299 Logistics Support Services Team. Provide comprehensive life-cycle logistics support for Air Vehicle and Weapons aviation platforms ensuring integration of maintenance, supply chain, engineering, and program management functions to sustain aircraft readiness, weapons, and mission capability. The Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager will have knowledge of basic theories and principles of system design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support. Knowledgeable of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution is sufficient to coordinate and integrate function into a total, well structured, and viable program. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan. Will be knowledgeable of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition. Responsibilities:
Lifecycle Logistics & Sustainment
• Analyze and manage logistics requirements across the full lifecycle (acquisition through sustainment).
• Support development and execution of sustainment strategies, and logistics support products.
• Monitor aircraft readiness metrics (Mission Capable rates, availability, turnaround time) and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in analyzing air vehicle and weapons logistics requirements across the lifecycle of naval aviation platforms.
• Support development updates to provisioning data, and logistics documentation.
• Collect and organize sustainment data to support readiness assessments. Maintenance & Reliability
• Participate in Reliability Control Boards (RCBs) efforts, to include functioning as DAC if directed.
• Identify degraders and coordinate corrective actions impacting system readiness.
• Support Technical Directive (TD) reviews and implementation tracking.
• Track and report aircraft readiness metrics (Mission Capable rates, downtime, turnaround time, Weapons).
• Support preparation of materials for Reliability Control Boards (RCBs) and maintenance reviews. Configuration & Change Management
• Coordinate with engineering, safety, and configuration management teams.
• Assist in developing, routing and tracking Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and logistics impacts for air vehicle and weapons.
• Support Configuration Control Board (CCB/ICCB) activities through data collection and documentation.
• Certify logistics products reflect current aircraft configuration.
Supply Chain & Obsolescence
• Support obsolescence reviews and mitigation strategies to prevent readiness gaps.
• Coordinate provisioning, sparing strategies, and inventory optimization.
• Monitor supply support issues, including part shortages, backorders, and long-lead items.
• Assist in tracking obsolescence and risk concerns.
• Coordinate with supply, maintenance, and engineering teams to support issue resolution(s). Contracts
• Review contractor deliverables for compliance and quality providing feedback to government personnel.
• Assist in contract development/execution as needed. Cross-Functional Coordination

• DECKPLATE Location: Lexington Park, MD Education: MS or MA Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Engineering, or Business Administration. Allowable Substitution: A Bachelor's Degree plus an additional 4 years experience may be substituted for a Master's. Experience: At least ten (10) years' FTE professional experience in Acquisition Logistics Support or Maintenance Engineering, and at least four (4) years' experience in operations of systems in the field or maintenance of systems in the field. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
