Job description

What You Will Be Doing:
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Publications Senior Manager to lead and oversee all technical publication efforts for our F-16 aircraft.
In this role, you will drive the development, sustainment, and modernization of mission-critical documentation that supports flight and maintenance operations around the world. You'll lead a team dedicated to producing a wide range of high-quality deliverables, including interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs), illustrated parts breakdowns, flight manuals, safety checklists, retrofit documentation, and complex wiring diagrams.
As the senior leader of this function, you will be at the forefront of technical publication innovation-guiding the team's transition to the S1000D data standard, enhancing digital delivery methods, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of F-16 technical publications, ensuring scope execution is on time, within budget, and delivered with 100% quality
- Oversee the modernization and conversion of legacy documentation to the S1000D data standard to improve usability, consistency, and global integration
- Collaborate across Aeronautics Lines of Business (LoBs) and cross-functional teams to drive consistency, performance, and innovation in how technical data is delivered to the customer
- Partner with other Lockheed Martin Business Areas (BAs) to leverage enterprise capabilities and best practices in technical publications
- Lead efforts to optimize the entire technical publication value stream, from development through delivery, with a strong focus on improving customer readiness and performance on the flight line
- Coordinate support to meet internal and external F-16 program management objectives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the technical publications team
