• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms such as those experienced in conditions like depression and anxiety.
• Collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans that align with each client's individual needs, goals, and preferences, employing evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Implement therapeutic techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address client concerns effectively.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on feedback and outcomes, ensuring adaptability in care.
• Engage in collaborative practices with psychiatrists and medical staff to deliver comprehensive care that attends to overlapping mental and physical health needs.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to refine and enhance treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for clients to ensure their mental health needs are addressed and that they feel represented against mental health stigma.

You will primarily work with a diverse client population suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your role is pivotal in guiding these individuals through their struggles, facilitating their path toward healing, personal growth, and recovery. Additionally, you may provide support to vulnerable groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, lending your expertise to help them navigate complex challenges.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is essential for this role.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude are critical in creating a supportive environment for clients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation.

Experience in evidence-based practices related to mood disorders is preferred. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a background working with diverse populations will enhance your application. The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, contingent upon qualifications and experience.
