Job description

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? CMHA is seeking a Relocation Coordinator to help guide residents through important housing transitions with professionalism, compassion, and care. This role is ideal for someone who values service, integrity, collaboration, and accountability while working in a mission-driven environment.
As a Relocation Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting residents and staff through the relocation, transfer, and reasonable accommodation process. Youโ€™ll serve as a trusted liaison, ensuring relocations are handled efficiently, respectfully, and in compliance with all HUD regulations and CMHA policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement relocation plans in accordance with federal regulations and CMHA policies.
  • Partner with residents, leadership, and internal teams to ensure smooth, resident-focused transitions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for relocation-related matters, providing guidance and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate moving services and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct assessments for reasonable accommodation requests and resident transfer needs.
  • Collaborate with community agencies to connect residents with supportive services.
  • Inspect units during and after rehabilitation to ensure quality and readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associateโ€™s degree in social services, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in public service, housing, or community services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
