Qualifications:

·         Must have a legal and active driver’s license with either a Chauffer or Class B endorsement 
·         Box truck driving experience: 1 year (Preferred)
·         Candidates subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
Job Summary:

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely driving product to and from customer locations as directed.  Drivers may be required to move material using a provided pallet jack.  Drivers are responsible for ensuring that product loaded onto trucks is secure and not damaged.  Drivers must be able to accurately complete paperwork for deliveries and other required documentation.  We expect all box truck drivers to follow safety guidelines and safe driving practices at all times.     
Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Safely operate a box truck with a carrying weight of less than 20,000 lbs. 
·         Use GPS and follow given directions to get from customer to customer.
·         Safely operate a pallet jack to move product within the trailer of the box truck.  
·         Work in a warehouse environment that is subject to cold/hot weather as the seasons change.
·         Maintain a valid driver’s license with required endorsements.
·         Utilize required applications for general job duties, including pre and post-trip vehicle inspections. 
Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Safety first approach to driving and moving freight.
·         Strong communication skills with dispatch and customers.
·         Dependable attitude and work ethic,
Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to move material within the truck trailer using a pallet jack. 
·         Ability to get in and out of box truck repeatedly throughout the workday, including as needed to inspect freight when loaded.
·         Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time in a warehouse or vehicle as necessary, 
·         Warehouse environment is subject to seasonal weather conditions and box truck drivers frequently have to unload outside in varying weather conditions.
