Job description

CARLSBAD, CA (OPEN TO RELOCATION CANDIDATES) – A warm, professional, and thoughtful family in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced, full-time nanny to support their infant, born in late March 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for a knowledgeable and nurturing candidate who is passionate about infant development and partnering closely with parents during the early months and beyond.

The family is looking for a calm, confident, and proactive nanny who can provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care while helping establish and maintain healthy routines around feeding, sleep, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in infant care, with the ability to support the transition from the newborn stage into infancy with ease, offering guidance while also respecting the family’s preferences and parenting style.

Responsibilities will include full child-related care such as feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining consistent sleep routines, along with engaging the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities as they grow. Additional support will include nursery organization, baby-related laundry, light meal preparation, and maintaining a tidy, well-functioning environment. The nanny should be collaborative, communicative, and confident in taking initiative while working alongside hands-on parents.

The schedule will be full-time, with general daytime hours and flexibility as needed. The family values reliability and adaptability and is seeking a candidate who is open to occasional schedule adjustments and travel.

The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, and highly experienced with infants, bringing a steady and reassuring presence into the home. A background in newborn care or early childhood education is strongly preferred. Candidates should be organized, professional, and comfortable in a collaborative household environment. Bilingual candidates are welcomed but not required.

The home is located in a safe, family-friendly area of Carlsbad. The family has two friendly cats, so comfort with pets is important. All candidates should be up to date on standard vaccinations and comfortable traveling with the family as needed.
