Job description
A wonderful family in Honolulu, HI, is seeking an experienced, warm, and kind temporary full-time, live-in nanny to primarily care for their 2.5-year-old son. The family also has an infant, but the primary responsibilities will be focused on the 2.5-year-old. The candidate should also be comfortable and capable of caring for both children in a pinch The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, and will fluctuate as the family’s needs change. There will be a guarantee of 40 hours per week. This is an immediate hire position, and the term will end on August 31st. Relocation offered.
Include, but are not limited to;
- Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- All aspects of full-charge childcare, including meal plan, prep and feeding, bathing, nap-time, diapering, potty training
- Child-related housekeeping, laundry, toy sanitation, and organization of the child’s spaces
- Engage the child in age-appropriate play and encourage creativity and imagination
- Take to/from activities
- Engage in outdoor activities, walks, and park exploration
- Proactively research local activities for the child, and ahead of travel
- Travel prep
- Pack/unpack
- Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the children to thrive in
- Collaborate with the family to provide the best care for the children
- Incorporate educational play, reading, puzzles, arts, and music
- Travel with family as requested
- Occasionally, dog sitting when the family is away for a few days (generally part of the regular schedule)
