15521525 - After-School Nanny Needed!
Location: Edina
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Children: 2 girls, ages 7 and 5 years old
Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (Fall commitment: September – December, with the potential to extend through the Spring)
Salary: $24 – $28 / hour (Depending on experience)
Description:
About the Family:
We are a warm, active, and close-knit family looking for a reliable and enthusiastic after-school nanny for our two goofy, loving, and affectionate girls. We are recently divorced (as of February) with an amicable separation. Our homes are just 2 minutes apart, and the girls split time evenly each week between Mom and Dad.
Because we still spend time together as a "family" to ease the adjustment for our kids, our routine is very smooth. One parent works from home daily (Dad works from home full-time, and Mom works from home when not traveling). Our current nanny splits time evenly between both houses and is happily available as a reference to share her experience with this setup!
We value clear communication, warmth, and gentle parenting practices. We maintain clear boundaries, name our feelings, remain calm during meltdowns, and encourage age-appropriate independence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: School/bus stop pickup using your own reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. Driving the girls to afternoon activities (gymnastics, dance, swimming, etc.).
  • After-School Engagement: Arts and crafts, science projects, outdoor play, reading, games, and educational-based activities.
  • Meals & Prep: Family meal/dinner prep for both kids (and adults when possible).
  • Routine Support: Encouraging age-appropriate independence (e.g., reminding them to pack their own water bottles).
What We Are Looking For:
  • Requirements: Own vehicle, clean driving record, and proven reliability.
  • Personality: Warm, empathetic, goofy, and affectionate. Someone who is excited to play, laugh, and give hugs!
  • Dynamic: While our past nanny became like close family (attending birthdays and school concerts), we are flexible and open to candidates whether you are looking for a long-term "forever family" connection or a professional employment relationship.
