Relationship Manager - Attorney & Law Firm Partnerships

Smith Clinesmith

Dallas, TX โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Posted 12 days ago

Job description

Description
At Smith Clinesmith Injury Lawyers, we believe there is a "Third Way" in the legal profession.
For decades, lawyers and law students have largely been told there are only two meaningful paths: Big Law or government/public interest work.
We believe there is another path - plaintiff advocacy. A path where exceptional professionals can build a highly successful career while making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable people and their families. A career where you can do well by doing good.
Smith Clinesmith is one of the nation's leading firms focused exclusively on nursing home abuse and neglect litigation. We represent families harmed by neglect, abuse, understaffing, falls, pressure injuries, wrongful death, and systemic failures in long-term care facilities across the country.
We are seeking a Relationship Manager to help expand our national network of attorney and law firm relationships.
This position is focused on building long-term partnerships with lawyers throughout the United States who are looking for a trusted litigation partner for nursing home abuse and catastrophic injury cases.
The Role
The Relationship Manager will serve as a key ambassador for the firm and will be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with:
  • Plaintiff attorneys
  • Personal injury firms
  • Medical malpractice firms
  • Probate and elder law attorneys
  • Solo practitioners and referral firms
  • State and national trial lawyer associations

The goal is simple: build genuine, long-term professional relationships that generate high-quality case referrals and strategic partnerships nationwide.
This is a relationship-building role, not a high-pressure sales position. Success in this role comes from credibility, responsiveness, trust, professionalism, and the ability to connect with lawyers and firms at a high level.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Build and maintain relationships with attorneys and law firms across the country
โ€ข Develop referral and co-counsel partnerships
โ€ข Attend legal conferences, conventions, and networking events
โ€ข Coordinate outreach initiatives with firm leadership
โ€ข Maintain regular communication with referral partners
โ€ข Help strengthen the firm's national reputation and visibility
โ€ข Identify strategic opportunities for growth and collaboration
โ€ข Travel nationally as needed for conferences, meetings, and events
Qualifications
โ€ข Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
โ€ข Highly polished and professional presence
โ€ข Strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building ability
โ€ข Self-starter with strong organizational skills
โ€ข Comfortable networking with attorneys and firm leadership
โ€ข Experience in legal marketing, attorney relations, business development, or plaintiff litigation preferred
โ€ข Ability to build authentic trust-based professional relationships
