Job description

Build relationships. Drive growth. Represent your community.

At Hickory Point Bank & Trust, we believe community banking is built on trusted relationships, not transactions. As a Relationship Banker, you are the face of the banking center and a key driver of client growth and retention.

This is more than a teller role. It’s a consultative position for professionals who thrive on building meaningful client relationships while delivering operational excellence.

If you enjoy connecting with people, identifying opportunities, and being a trusted financial partner, this role offers a clear path to growth within a respected community bank.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary financial contact for banking center clients
  • Conduct consultative conversations to understand financial goals
  • Recommend deposit, credit, and investment solutions aligned to client needs
  • Process transactions accurately while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Open and manage new accounts with precision and professionalism
  • Generate quality referrals to mortgage, ag, wealth, commercial, and treasury partners
  • Represent the bank in community events and relationship-building activities
  • Contribute to branch growth through proactive outreach and service excellence

What success looks like:

  • Strong client retention and deepened relationships
  • Consistent referral generation
  • Operational accuracy and regulatory adherence
  • Professional presence in the community
  • Ability to balance service, sales, and compliance in a fast-paced environment

We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience in banking, retail leadership, hospitality, financial services, or consultative sales
  • Comfort discussing financial products and solutions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism
  • Banking experience is valued but not required for candidates with strong transferable experience.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience
  • Career development in financial services
  • Cross-training across multiple banking disciplines
  • Strong internal partnerships
  • Robust benefits package
  • Community-centered culture
