The Relationship Banker is a sales position with a primary focus on sales development and relationship building through loans, deposits and membership growth and retention. This position is responsible for selling a full range of consumer, commercial and investment products to meet the needs of both existing and prospective members. The successful candidate will be responsible for building brand recognition and establishing and maintaining a company presence in their assigned market. Additionally, this position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the branch in the absence of the Senior Relationship Banker. Candidatesโ€™ availability will also need to be Fridays from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, and Saturdays (rotating) from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus is on cross selling to existing members and engaging in outside sales activities such as business sales calls, community functions, and business events to drive new membership growth.
  • Utilize lending and credit expertise to deliver quality sophisticated credit solutions best suited to meet the clientโ€™s needs.
  • Handle consumer, mortgage, and small business applications from application status through closing.
  • Educate the members about financial strategies, products and services that will meet or exceed their needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer, small business products and services, mortgage loans and investments to recommend appropriate solutions to prospective clients.
  • Assist members with accounts, loans and maintenance.
  • Perform various duties in the teller area which include monitoring cash levels, reviewing teller outage report and making appropriate recommendations, balancing the ATM as needed and ensuring that the vault is accurately balanced.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with all of the organizationโ€™s policies and procedures.


Qualifications Include:

  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or sales
  • Thorough knowledge of financial services and products and understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in sales and negotiation environments.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment.
