Job Description:
At Regions, the Bank Operations Funds Transfer Specialist performs processing for all regular, restricted, and legal transfers including Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T.) payments and transfers.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Enters transfer instructions and performs necessary verifications
  • Handles instruction receipts and authentication
  • Completes processing of end-of-day general ledger entries
  • Executes transactions and maintains records
  • Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
  • May perform quality reviews to ensure production systems are posting properly
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • General knowledge of banking procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Strongly Preferred:
  • Wire Transfer Processing Experience - Knowledge of domestic, international, and SWIFT wire transactions.
  • Transaction Authentication & Verification Experience - Experience validating customer identity, authorizations, and wire instructions.
  • Attention to Detail - Ability to accurately review, verify, and process time-sensitive financial transactions.
  • Customer Service & Phone Support Experience - Comfortable assisting clients and handling transaction-related inquiries.
  • Banking Operations Experience - Knowledge of funds transfers, account services, and operational controls.
  • Problem-Solving & Research Skills - Ability to investigate and resolve transaction exceptions and discrepancies.
Proximity to Hoover, AL required. There is a minimum of three days working in the office required.
