This role features a hybrid work model that blends in-office collaboration three days a week with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.    


The Sr. Commercial Loan Administrator performs a variety of administrative, customer service, and loan servicing functions. Provides exceptional customer service to Commercial Loan Officers, borrowers, and vendors while working in compliance with Bank policies and procedures, and maintains an knowledge of Commercial Loan procedures, policy, compliance, and legal requirements.  


Essential Job Functions


Commercial Loan Team Support

  • Coordinates all aspects of commercial loan closings with lenders, credit analysts, portfolio managers, attorneys, servicing staff, and customers, ensuring loans are closed accurately, timely, and according to approved terms and conditions. 
  • Reviews commitment letters, approval documents, and closing documentation; performs pre-closing due diligence and prepares or coordinates required loan, legal, collateral, modification, SBA, construction, and regulatory documentation. 
  • Communicates with attorneys and paralegals regarding closing requirements, prepares attorney engagement letters, reviews attorney-prepared documents and HUD settlement statements, and obtains required collateral and supporting documentation. 
  • Prepares completed loan files for commercial servicing, boarding, scanning, and quality control; follows up on missing post-closing documents and supports credit file maintenance, portfolio reviews, audits, regulatory requests, and issue resolution with Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers. 
  • Serves as a resource and mentor for Commercial Servicing Representatives and Commercial Loan Administrators, maintains department reporting, performs administrative support, and functions as a Bank Notary. 

Customer Support

  • Develops strong relationships with customers and internal support staff, responds to inquiries and resolves questions, concerns, and problems while providing a high level of customer service. 
  • Performs a variety of customer service and loan servicing functions and supports up to three or more Commercial Lenders with complex loan portfolios, depending on loan volume and portfolio complexity. 

Compliance

  • Maintains current knowledge of Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements through training and team meetings and applies this knowledge to daily responsibilities. 
  • Ensures adherence to Bank policies and applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including BSA requirements, by verifying transactions and account balances, minimizing risk, preventing violations, and safeguarding the Bank's interests.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, and Education

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional office environment, Commercial Loan Administration role, or equivalent paralegal experience. 
  • Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email, with strong knowledge of general banking and lending concepts. 
  • Strong attention to detail, decision-making, time management, and ability to meet deadlines and learn Bank products and services, including loan products. 
  • Self-motivated with the professionalism and maturity to work effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and members of the Board of Directors.
